DSQUARED2 SS21: "NO MORE SWEATS"
By: Maité Aramayo

Being one of the first ones to open Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2021, the Dsquared twins proposed a significantly different fashion show from what is usually expected. It was already a given that most brands were going to present their collections digitally, and Dsquared chose to do so by posting a smaller collection of "D essentials" live according to schedule.
Although we are very accustomed to a loud runway show, this time, due to the COVID circumstances, we had to settle for a slideshow including a set of lookbook style of pictures that didn't fail to deliver. In an attempt to adapt to the new normal, Dsquared dared to go against the trend of "comfort is the new black" (aka sweats and t-shirts), and went back to a 2000's feel, almost as if the entire collection was a continuation of Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista's Dsquared 2009 campaign.
You can expect Dsquared to bring clarity over quantity gladiator heels back, along with military/aviator trousers and bomber jackets mixed with punk studs and locket necklaces.
